Book via Eventbrite and we will share a phone number for on the day. You can call/text if you’re not sure where you’re going or want to meet someone outside the Creative Centre. We find this can help with any anxiety.

Creative Centre Communal Areas

Toilets

On each floor there are gender neutral toilets. There is also a small accesible toilet on each floor.

On the ground floor there is an accessible toilet that is larger. It isn’t a Changing Places toilet, but it’s more similar.

Rooms

As well as the communal areas, we are using a number of the rooms. This includes the a film room, shown on the right. Not shown is that on the side of the room there is space for mobility aids.

Getting to the Creative Centre

We’ve taken some videos where we describe how to get to the Creative Centre from the edge of the York St John’s University campus.

Apologies for not being able to find the right language around the Blue Badge spaces. We are aware that there is very limited parking on campus and these can be used by staff and students who have Blue Badges. Please be thoughtful.

Blue Badge Parking

There are five spaces on the York St John University campus and unfortunately we are unable to reserve them so they will operate on a first come first serve basis. You will also need to pre-book a space by contacting York St John University (01904 876 318).

If you use a space and do not book, you will recieve a fine in the post. If this happens, we will try to get it waived.

There is a drop off area near the Creative Centre but please note if you are on campus for over 20 minutes, number plate technology will automatically send a fine by post.

Off campus parking: The nearest public car park to the Creative Centre is Union Terrace car park, York, YO31 7ES. There are 13 dedicated Blue Badge bays. In addition, Blue Badge holders can park in any bay in this car park, free of charge.

There are also parking spaces on Lord Mayor’s Walk.

Bus

On Gillygate, at the end nearest to Clarence Street, there is a bus stop. Buses that stop here are Numbers 1, 5, 5A, 6 and 40.
