Volunteer
We are looking for volunteers for Quiet Pride 2026:
- Running workshops eg art and craft workshops, writing workshops
- Putting on a talk. In 2025, we had talks about disability in fiction, and animal human interactions. Generally we would prefer talks to be at maximum 1 hour.
- Leading group discussions on anything related to being disabled and queer
- Help setting up on Wednesday 5th August – being able to lift chairs and tables is helpful for this.
Art Display
We are also planning on having another display of community work so please send your art or writing to us via email. Deadline: Friday 24th July.
We encouirage art and writing on the themes of being LGBTQIA and disabled but all work will be considered. Creatives of all artistic abilities are encouraged to get involved. Please submit by 24/7/26 by email. Visual art should be no larger than A3, poetry and prose no more than 2 sides of A4.
If you are sending over writing, we’ve found it’s nice to make it look more like a poster (instead of a piece of white paper with black ink). We can do this, but would encourage writers to have a go themselves – you can sign up for a free Canva account, which is how we made this:

A huge thank you to the groups and organisations that support Quiet Pride, without you we couldn’t do this.
